Okay- Today, I had to take a DEEP breath and face some harsh reality... I am behind ! Way behind this year in my vineyard journey. The mower has a flat tire, the pinot grigio and the merlot need pruning. The canes need to be picked up in the rows. I need to spray the weeds, give the vines a little nitrogen.... and my my my... get my laundry done too! All this while keeping the wines and the tasting room aligned too! Deep Breath -Deep Breath.. make a list-- make a list. I feel the pressure... but I see the beauty all around me... the tall grass well, it is green! that is good, and the trees are budding... so there will soon be shade from the hot sun. The pond filled up and it is peaceful to look at and I know how to fix a flat. What more can a gal ask for... oh, Panera's - their macaroni and cheese... maybe not so great for the waist line.. but oh... it is so good... and it sticks with me all day long... so I am more like a energizer bunny than a droppy doll. I even will work in the rain!
